Graduate / no full-time experience
Fresher resume format and example
With no full-time experience, your resume is judged on evidence of skill: projects, internships, coursework that produced something, and how clearly you present it. This example uses the order campus recruiters and ATS read best — skills and projects first, then education.
Sample resume: the person, employers and figures are illustrative.

Tips for a Fresher resume
Projects before experience
With no full-time role, put Education, Skills and Projects first. Recruiters scan for what you have built.
One page, always
A fresher resume should fit on one page. Cut school-level details below Class 12 and generic hobbies.
Link your work
GitHub, a portfolio or a deployed app link lets a recruiter verify your skills in a minute.
Skip photos, tables and columns
Many company portals parse plain single-column resumes best. Avoid photos and graphics unless the employer asks for them.
Tailor for each company
Match the skill names in each job description where they're true for you — campus ATS filters match keywords literally.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best resume format for freshers?
A single-column format with Summary, Education, Skills, Projects, then any Internships and Certifications. It reads cleanly for both recruiters and ATS.
Should a fresher write a career objective or a summary?
A 2–3 line summary that states your degree, your strongest project or internship and the role you want works better than a generic objective.
Should I include my CGPA?
Include it if it meets the cut-off companies usually ask for (often 6.5–7 or above). Use the same scale your college uses.
Can I use the same resume for every company?
Keep one base version, then adjust the summary and skills for each job description. A job-match check shows which keywords a posting expects.
